
Erin Mandel-Shorser, PhD, has been a member of CAPLA since 2020 and currently serves on the board of directors. Erin is the Program Coordinator & a professor for Bachelor of Health Sciences, Workplace Health and Wellness Program at Humber College. In this role Erin supports a multi-professional team in the creation, implementation and revision of course content and assessments. Erin has helped to build numerous methods of recognition of prior learning within the Workplace Health and Wellness program including transfer pathways and PLAR. In recent years, Erin has supported the development of tools, resources and supports to assist students in engaging with the RPL process. As well, Erin is working on building and supporting the creation of resources to assist Faculty in creating or updating existing RPL options within their program or course. Erin holds a PhD in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University, a Master’s degree in Kinesiology and Applied Health Sciences from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario.
