This Australian Skills Quality Authority document is a Users’ Guide to the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). The guide is intended to assist organisations seeking to register as a training provider, as well as registered training providers through critical examination of their practices, systems and performance. It provides guidance to understand the Standards that apply to RTOs, including the intent and information about each of the quality areas, Standards and clauses. Also included are tips for how to collect and present evidence of compliant practice, and case studies with examples to assist RTOs to examine, implement and improve their practices. It gives guidance on marketing and recruitment; enrolment; support and progression; training and assessment; completion; and regulatory compliance and governance practice.
