Mackenzie was elected to the CAPLA Board of Directors in November 2022.
As an Academic Quality Assurance Specialist at the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), she performs strategic program reviews, analyzes and updates college policies and procedures, and ensures curriculum documents meet established learning design standards.
Since 2019, she has coordinated various continuous improvement projects to strengthen assessment practices, generate workflow efficiencies, and expand RPL services across the college.
Before joining NBCC, Mackenzie spent nearly 10 years pursuing her passion for adult learning and curriculum development as an instructor at Mount Saint Vincent University and Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She holds a PhD in English from the University of London (Birkbeck College), a Master’s degree from Oxford University, and a BA (Hons) from Acadia University.
